Youth Orchestra (COYO)

Established in 1986, The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra annually provides 100 aspiring young musicians of middle-high school age with a unique pre-professional orchestral training experience. COYO’s musicians are drawn from 40 communities in 11 counties across Northern Ohio, selected through competitive audition. COYO is coached weekly by Cleveland Orchestra musicians and rehearses and performs in historic Severance Hall.

Youth Chorus (COYC)

The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus is open to students in grades 9 through 12. Choristers are selected by competitive audition and regularly perform at Severance Hall and community venues across greater Cleveland.

Children's Choruses (COCC & COCPC)

The Cleveland Orchestra Children's Choruses are treble ensembles affiliated with The Cleveland Orchestra. The Children's Chorus, open to students in grades 6 through 9, performs annually on Cleveland Orchestra Christmas concerts and major orchestral works at Severance Hall. The Preparatory Chorus, open to students in grades 5 through 8, focuses on establishing a foundation of vocal technique, musical literacy, and musicianship.
